About Eturnagaram Wildlife Sanctuary:
- Located in Mulugu district in Telangana, near the Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh and Telangana borders.
- 1952: The erstwhile Hyderabad Government declared it as a sanctuary because of its rich biodiversity.
- The Godavari and Dayyam Vagu river passes through the sanctuary.
- The biennial festival of Sammakka Saralamma Jatara is held in the sanctuary.
- Flora: tropical dry deciduous type of teak like thiruman, maddi, and bamboo, madhuca, terminalia, and pterocarpus.
- Fauna: Tiger, Leopard, Wolf, Dholes, Golden jackals, Sloth bear, and Indian giant squirrels.

Amrabad Tiger Reserve:
- Situated on the border of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, encompassing parts of the Nallamala Hills.
- It is one of the largest tiger reserves in the country.
- It has a large presence of the Chenchu tribe.
- Fauna: Tigers, leopards, sloth bears, Indian gaurs, and several species of birds and reptiles.

- Eturnagaram Wildlife Sanctuary and Amrabad Tiger Reserve are facing situation of forest fires.
