India’s Achievement in 2024:
The band Shakti, featuring Zakir Hussain, Shankar Mahadevan, John McLaughlin, Ganesh Rajagopalan, and Selvaganesh Vinayakram, won a Grammy for their album “This Moment.”
Zakir Hussain won two additional Grammys: one for the best global music performance with ‘Pashto’ and another for the best contemporary instrumental album ‘As We Speak’.
PM Narendra Modi too was nominated for Abundance in Millets in the Best Global Music Performance category.
