India’s Achievement in 2024:

• The band Shakti, featuring Zakir Hussain, Shankar Mahadevan, John McLaughlin, Ganesh Rajagopalan, and Selvaganesh Vinayakram, won a Grammy for their album “This Moment.”
• Zakir Hussain won two additional Grammys: one for the best global music performance with ‘Pashto’ and another for the best contemporary instrumental album ‘As We Speak’.
• PM Narendra Modi too was nominated for Abundance in Millets in the Best Global Music Performance category.
