The MAH CET stands for “Maharashtra common entrance exam”, which measures a student’s aptitude for logical reasoning and arithmetic. An MCT score of 70% or better is required for applicants to the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) admission exam.

About MAH CET

Both Marathi and English are used for the exam. General and OMR are the two papers that make up the exam. One hundred questions make up the General paper, whereas 200 questions make up the OMR paper.

The 2 hours 30 minutes long computer-based MAH CET 2023 entrance test is required for enrollment in one of the 300 B-schools in Maharashtra. Two hundred questions in MCQ style make up the MH-CET exam.

The Mumbai-based Maharashtra State Board of Secondary Education oversees its administration.

Requirements for acceptance

  • Candidates with any specified permanent disabilities, in addition to the minimum requirements, are qualified to apply for admission to the seats designated for candidates with disabilities (i.e., candidate who is blind or visually impaired) (blind). 
  • Type P1 candidates are those who have speech and hearing impairments. 
  • Candidate type P2: Candidate with orthopaedic problems, learning impairments, dyslexia, dyscalculia, dysgraphia, and spasticity.
  • Candidate type P3 if they offer a certificate that states unequivocally that their level of disability is permanent and does not go below 40%. 
  • To be admitted to the Mining Engineering program, candidates must be male. Only three MHT-CET attempts are permitted.
  • Candidates under the general group must earn at least 50% of their grade point average in their 10th grade. 
  • The minimum score needed to qualify for the MHT CET is 45% for applicants who fall under the SC, ST, or OBC categories.
  • Students who received at least a 50% grade in the 10th standard from the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary Education are eligible to take the test. An objective paper and a subject paper are included in the two-day exam.
  • To qualify under this category, a candidate must be a member of a specific State of Maharashtra’s minority linguistic or religious group, as the government specifies.

  • The MHT CET 2021 September 21 exam was medium in terms of overall difficulty.
