All About Floor Based Puzzles Type Questions

Different types of floor-based reasoning puzzle questions are asked in banking exams, and these puzzles mainly differ in the level of their difficulty.

Easy Level of Floor-Based Puzzle For SBI Clerk

I) There are nine people, A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, and I, who all live in a building with nine floors. However, the order is not the same. The ground floor is designated as 1, the next floor as two, etc. I am living on an odd-numbered floor which is above the 5th floor. There are two people living between floors I and D. C is also living on an odd-numbered floor. Still, its floor is not right above or below D. There are several people living between D and F and between the floors of D, and G. B is living on the lowermost floor. One individual is living between the floors of E and I. H is not living on an even-numbered floor, as is A living, but A does not live above the 2nd floor.

Moderate Level of Floor-Based Banking Puzzle

II) A, B, C, D, E, F, G and H are eight people living in an eight storied building. The ground floor of the building is designated as 1, and the next one is 2 and so on. These eight people have different fruits, namely, Mango, Raspberry, Ice Apple, Strawberry, Papaya, Apple, Berry and Orange. 

A lives on an even-numbered floor, which is higher than the 3rd floor, and A does not like Apple, Strawberry or Orange. The exact number of people living above A as those living below H. H lives two floors below E’s floor, and H likes Raspberry. F is living above A’s floor. C and B are living on the top floor and the ground floor respectively and like Orange and Mango respectively. The one who is living on the 7th floor likes Apple. H is living on the 3rd floor, and its favourite fruit is Ice Apple. G is living three places above B’s floors, and its favourite fruit is Berry.

Advanced Level of Floor-Based Puzzles

III) M, N, O, P, Q and R are six females who want to go out with six boys U, V, W, X, Y and Z. However, they are not in the same order. Different pairs have gone to different countries, including Kenya, America, China and Australia, while two pairs went to Turkey. These different Paris also like colours, including Red, Green, White and Brown. However, the colours Red and Green are liked by two pairs. 

P and M have gone to Turkey, and they do not like the colours White and Green. R did not go with Y, and both of them do not like the colour Brown. X and W wanted to go to China and America. Those who have gone to Australia like the colour that N likes. O and Z form a pair and go to Australia, but they do not like the colours White and Red. N has gone to China and likes the colour Green. Q did not go out with U and V, and Q has not gone to America. Q also does not like the colours Red and Brown.
