  • From March 3rd to March 27th, 2021, the exercise was held at Al Dhafra airfield in the United Arab Emirates.
  • The Exercise Desert Flag was hosted by the United Arab Emirates Air Force.
  • France, the United States (US), South Korea, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Bahrain are all participating in the exercise.
  • Greece, Jordan, Kuwait, and Egypt were among those who watched the drill.
  1. b) Perform Yudh Abhyas exercises

  • From February 8th to February 21st, 2021, the 16th ‘Yudh Abhyas,’ a joint military exercise between India and the United States, was held.
  • The Mahajan Field Firing Ranges in Rajasthan’s Bikaner area hosted a joint military drill between India and the United States.
  • Around 250 military men from both countries will participate in the drill.
  • The Indo-US military exercise Yudh Abhyas would serve to boost both nations’ defence ties.

Multilateral Exercise.

  1. a) Exercise RIMPAC 

RIMPAC, or Rim of the Pacific Exercise, is the largest multinational maritime military exercise in the world.

With the exception of 2020, when it was held in August, RIMPAC is hosted biennially from Honolulu, Hawaii, in June and July in even-numbered years.

It is hosted and operated by the US Navy’s Indo-Pacific Authority, based in Pearl Harbor, in partnership with the Marine Corps, Coast Guard, and Hawaii National Guard units, all of which are under the command of Hawaii’s Governor.

Forces from Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the United Kingdom (UK), and the United States participated in the inaugural RIMPAC in 1971. (US).

Australia, Canada, and the United States have all participated since then.
