India is prioritizing its innovative technology, research and development related works. Technology Development and Related Programmes are the pioneers of this newly made evolutionary work. It is aimed at developing and integrating technologies to another level. Technology Development Programmes mainly focus on the conversion of proofs-of-concept for the development of the pre-commercialized technologies and techniques or processes. Projects related to low-level and high-level design and IT or Software related development are one of the few steps to facilitate and support development of products or techniques. So, it is very much important for us to know about the Technology Development and Related Programmes.
Objective
The main focus of the Technology Development and Related Programmes is aimed at developing and integrating technologies and to facilitate and support development of products or techniques. As we know there has been a huge evolution in the advanced or emerging technologies in the traditional sectors. So people are becoming more tech-oriented people to adapt in this century. This programme surely emphasizes identifying the needs for technology development and integration techniques. With the development effort, it ensures active user engagement and involvement. The intention is to create products and technologies that can solve real-life problems on a large scale and serve the society for a greater good. The specific objectives are listed below:
Develop and integrate technologies in some of the most crucial identified areas by following a holistic approach.
Promote various applications of advanced and modern technologies to solve socio-economic problems in our society.
Help promote modernization of traditional tools, technologies and skills aimed at developing and integrating technologies.
To facilitate and support development of products (traditional as well as non-traditional products) and techniques in diverse areas.
Encourage application development and improve research and development all over the country.
Promote activities keeping in mind the technologies, techniques, materials, methods and other types of appropriate activities for facilitating and supporting development of products.
Eligibility
Project proposals under Technology Development and Related Programmes can be submitted for financial support by scientists, engineers or technologists working in well known institutions, registered societies, Research and Development institutions or laboratories having adequate facilities and infrastructure to carry out the advanced technology development work.
The programme also encourages multi-disciplinary proposals schematizing the network or collaboration of various Organizations having diverse expertise and facilities for effective implementation of the Projects. Participation in such an industry is highly appreciated. Project proposals from Research and Development or academic institutions in collaboration with Industry having DSIR recognized Research and Development Labratories is preferred.
Technology Integration
Aimed at developing and integrating technologies and to facilitate and support development of products or techniques technology integration is indeed in need. This means the use of various technologies in general content areas in education in order to allow students to apply computer and technology skills to learning and problem-solving. Generally, the curriculum increases the use of advanced and modern technology and not the opposite way around.
Technology Integration can be defined as the use of technology and techniques to enhance and facilitate classroom instruction by creating golden opportunities for upcoming students to complete assignments on the computer rather than with the traditional pen-and-paper way. On a large scale, this tech. Integration also refers to the use of an integration platform and Application Programme Interface in the management of an institute, school, to integrate disparate SaaS (Software as a Service) applications, databases, and programs used by an educational organization so that their data can be shared in real-time across all the systems on campus. Thus, we can definitely support students’ education quality by improving data quality and access for faculty and staff.
Technology is changing at a rapid pace and to cope up with this pace, people should learn new technologies as it’s continually developing stuff. Each and every skill, techniques, methods and processes used in industrial production and scientific research. Technology enhance operations of the machines. Some of the most hot technology knowledges that every people should once in their life:
Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
Edge Computing
Robotic Process Automation (RPA)
Quantum Computing
Augmentend Reality and Virtual Reality
Blockchain
Internet of Things (IoT)
5G
Cyber Security
Conclusion
India is aggressively working towards establishing itself as a leader in industrialisation aimed at developing and integrating technologies. Also technology development and related programmes is to facilitate and support development of products or techniques. Significant growth in the nuclear energy sector has been observed over the last few years. Moreover, nanotechnology is expected to transform India’s whole pharmaceutical industry. The agriculture sector is also likely to undergo a major rejuvenation as the Government of India is investing actively for a technology-driven revolution. Technology development and related programmes can be a huge gamechanger in this for facilitating and developing and integrating technologies.
