Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Initiative
The Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Yojana is a nationwide effort coordinated by the Ministries of Women and Child Development (MoWCD), Human Resources Development (MoHRD) (MoHRD), and Health and Family Welfare (MoH&FW). Each body is responsible for certain components of the plan. The MoWCD is in charge of budgetary control and administration of the BBBP. However, the MoH&FW is in charge of capacity growth and quality control. In addition, the MoHRD has budgeted for community participation programs.

Ministry of Women and Child Development (MoWCD)
- Provide overall direction and assistance to states, union territories, districts, and other stakeholders in the BBBP scheme’s implementation.
- Oversee the scheme’s administration.
- Gather best practices and efforts for enhancing the worth of the female child.
Ministry of Health & Family Welfare (MoH&FW)
- Ensure that the Central Supervisory Board meets on a regular basis (CSB)
- Organize two national-level meetings every year to examine the Pre-conception & Pre Natal Diagnostic Technique (PC & PNDT) Act’s implementation.
- To assess success, have five regional review sessions each year.
Ministry of Human Resource Development (MoHRD)
- Activate school management committees (SMCs) to guarantee that all girls are enrolled, retained, and finish secondary school.
- Create community dialogues to encourage females to participate in Balika Manch.
- Build girls’ toilets that are functional.
- Complete the project of Kasturba Gandhi Bal Vidyalayas.
- Launch a campaign to re-enroll females who dropped out of secondary school.
Objectives of The Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Yojana
