Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Limited is a company incorporated under the Companies Act of 1956 and registered with the Company registrar as Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Limited. Its registered office is at Jaipur established on July 19 in the year 2000. It was registered by the Rajasthan government under the provisions of the Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Ltd. It is responsible for the transmission of electricity throughout the state of Rajasthan. The Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Prasaran Nigam maintains and operates the high-voltage electric transmission system that keeps the lights on and the factories running. As delegates of the previous RSEB, Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Prasaran Nigam also controls the shared projects.

Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Prasaran Nigam’s Goal
Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Prasaran Nigam’s goal is to provide its clients with dependable electric spread service. On July 19, 2000, the Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Ltd. (RVUN) was established under the Companies Act-1956 by the Rajasthan government. Since then, the Nigam has taken the lead in prioritizing power generation for the state’s multiple and rapid development.
Rajasthan Power Sector Reforms Act 2016
The State Government hereby introduced the Transfer Scheme to provide for and implement the transfer of property, assets, rights, obligations, commitments, and legal proceedings. The transfer was from Rajasthan Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Ltd.. It was transferred to Jaipur Vidyut Vitran Nigam Ltd. & Jodhpur Vidyut Vitran Nigam Ltd. This was in accordance with Section 14 of the Rajasthan Power Sector Reforms Act, 1999 under Act No. 23 of 1999, the following pointers are to be known about the transfer.
- The scheme is referred to as Rajasthan Power Sector Reforms Transfer Scheme-II, 2016.
- Land, structures, and any constructions and plants are considered “assets.”
- “Effective date of transfer” refers to the date on which this Scheme was published in the Official Gazette;
- “Jaipur Discom” refers to the Jaipur Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited, which was formed with the primary purpose of carrying on the business of electricity distribution and also the supply in the parts defined in Part II of Schedule I of the Rajasthan Power Sector Reforms Transfer Scheme, 2000.
- “Jodhpur Discom” refers to the Jodhpur Vidhyut Vitran Nigam Limited (JDVVNL), was established with the primary purpose of carrying on the business of electricity distribution and also the supply in the parts defined in Part III of Schedule I of the Rajasthan Power Sector Reforms Transfer Scheme, 2000.
- “Liabilities” refers to all liabilities, responsibilities, duties, promises, and other expenditures, with legal liabilities including administration charges of any sort, as well as contingent liabilities.
- Suits, judgments, grievances, petitions, proposals, peace-making or negotiation proceedings are all considered “proceedings.”
- “State Government” refers to the Government of Rajasthan; “Transferee” refers to Jaipur Vidhyut Vitran Nigam Limited or Jodhpur Vidhyut Vitran Nigam Limited,
- “Transferor” refers to Rajasthan Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Limited.
