Rajasthan Population as per Census 2011

In this article, we are going to know about the population of Rajasthan as per the census of Rajasthan 2011 and Rajasthan district list 2021 with population and the estimated population of Rajasthan 2020.

The population of Rajasthan, according to the census of Rajasthan 2011 figures, stands at about 68 million, making it the 8th most populous region in India. The state made up about 5.6% of the country’s population of almost 5.4% during the last census in 2001. The area of Rajasthan is 340000 sq. Km. As per the census of Rajasthan 2011, which makes it the largest region in the country geographically. Population density per square Km. is about 200 and is much below the national average. The state has a growth rate of almost 21%, which is the 11th highest growth rate in the country.

Rajasthan: Population as per Census 2011

According to the 2011 Census, the population of Rajasthan is 6.85 Cr. Thus the population of Rajasthan formed 5.66 per cent of India in 2011. Rajasthan had a population of 68,548,437 while males numbered 35,550,997 and females 32,997,440.

The total area of Rajasthan is 342,239 square kilometres. Thus the population of Rajasthan is 200 per square metre less than the national average of 382 per square mile.

Rajasthan Urban/Rural Population

According to the census of Rajasthan 2011 of the entire population of Rajasthan, 24.87% of the population lived in urban areas and 75.13% in rural areas. The urban population was 17,048,085 and 8,909,250 were males and 8,138,835 were females. In rural Rajasthan, the male population was 26,641,747, and the female population was 24,858,605.

Literacy Rate

As per the census of Rajasthan 2011, which makes it the largest region in the country geographically, the population density per square Km. is about 200 and is much below the national average. Similarly, in rural Rajasthan, the literacy rate was 61.44%. For them, the male and female literacy rate stands at 76.16% and 45.8%, respectively. The total number of students in rural Rajasthan was 26,471,786.

According to the census of Rajasthan 2011 of the entire population of Rajasthan, 24.87% of the population lived in urban areas and 75.13% in rural areas. The urban population was 17,048,085 and 8,909,250 were males and 8,138,835 were females. In rural Rajasthan, the male population was 26,641,747, and the female population was 24,858,605.

Sex Ratio

The average sex ratio in urban areas of Rajasthan was 914 out of 1000 men. And the average sex ratio of children (ages 0-6) in urban areas of Rajasthan was 874 girls out of 1000 boys. Thus the total number of children (aged 0-6) living in urban areas of Rajasthan was 2,234,621, which is 13.11% of the total urban population. Similarly, the average sex ratio in rural Rajasthan was 933 for women out of 1000 men. The average sex ratio of children in Rajasthan was 892 out of 1000 boys.

Conclusion

The population of Rajasthan was 6.86 Crores, according to the 2011 Census. According to the data, there was an increase in the figure from 5.65 Crore to the census 2001. The state population was 68,548,437 in the 2011 census.

Of these 35,550,997 men and women 32,997,440. However, in 2001, the state population was 56,507,188 while the male population was 29,420,011, and the female population was 27,087,177. Overall, growth over the last decade was 21.31% but over the past decade, the growth rate was 28.33%. The population of Rajasthan 2020 is estimated to be 8.1 crores.
