Bharatiya Janata party:
Bharatiya Janata Party is currently the ruling party of Uttar Pradesh, with Yogi Adityanath being the Chief Minister. The head office of the Bharatiya Janata Party of Uttar Pradesh is situated at BJP Bhavan, 7, Vidhan Sabha Marg in Lucknow. The President of the BJP for the state of Uttar Pradesh is Swatantra Dev Singh, and Sunil Bansal is the general secretary. At the beginning of 1952, Bharatiya Janata Party won only 2 seats out of 430 in the legislative assembly. 1957, the number of seats that the BJP won bumped up to 17.312 out of 403 seats was won by the Bharatiya Janata Party in 2017. In the 2022 elections, BJP won 255 seats out of 403. That’s 57 seats less than in the 2017 elections. Still, they secured the majority.
Communist Party of India
The communist party of India is also a significant political party in Uttar Pradesh. It is also known as the Marxist–Leninist Liberation party. Dipankar Bhattacharyya is the leader of the communist party of India. They have also formed trade unions, student groups, and peasant organisations. The communist party of India is also present in West Bengal, Kanpur and Bihar.
Apna Dal
Apna Dal, which is also known as Sonal, is a regional and one of the
important political parties in UP.
The Kurmi community, which resides in the Varanasi region of Uttar Pradesh, is the main supporting base of the Apna Dal political party. The president, as well as the parliamentary chairperson of the Apna Dal, is Anupriya Patel. She is also the founder of the Apna Dal political party. The Apna Dal party was established on 14 December 2016. Their symbol is a teacup and saucer. They have 2 seats in the Lok Sabha currently.
There are 12 MLAs of Apna Dal in the eighteenth legislative assembly.
Samajwadi party:
The Samajwadi Party, or the socialist party, was established on 4 October 1992. Its abbreviation is SP, and the symbol of the SP political party is a bicycle. Akhilesh Yadav is the president and chairperson of the Samajwadi Party. Samajwadi Party has 111 MLAs in the UP legislative assembly.
