Maharashtra Judicial Services Eligibility Criteria
The Bombay High Court conducts the Maharashtra Judicial Service Examination every year to recruit Civil Judges for the state’s judicial offices (Junior Division). This exam is often referred to as the MPSC Maharashtra Judicial Services Eligibility Criteria since it is based on three fundamental criteria: age limit, educational qualification, and nationality of the candidate.
- Educational Requirements: You must have earned a law degree from a UGC recognised University or college, such as an LLB or an LLM.
- You must be between the age of 21 and 35 years old to be eligible for the exam. If you fall into the OBC group, you will receive a three-year extension, whilst the SC and ST categories would receive a five-year extension.

Exam Pattern for the Maharashtra Judicial Services
There are three phases in the PCS J Maharashtra Exam: the preliminary examination, the main examination, and the Viva-Voce (oral examination).
Detailed Exam Pattern for Preliminary Examination: The Online Preliminary Examination comprises 100 multiple choice questions worth 100 marks. The evaluation is carried out in the English language. According to the Judiciary Exam Pattern, a single section on legislative law is included in the exam.For every incorrect answer, you will receive a negative mark of 0.25 marks.
The Mains Exam is of the descriptive kind, and there are two question papers of 100 marks for each paper . Each paper will have a three-hour time limit. It will be possible to take the main exam in both Marathi and English.
