National Animal

Every country has its symbols that signify its nature, role, and behavior. Every country has its national animal. For instance, the national animal of India is Tiger.

A national animal of a country is the official symbol of a particular country; it signifies the nature, culture, color, behavior, and many more Characteristics of a country. Every country in this world has its national animal. For instance, India’s national animal is Tiger, Angola has the red-crested turaco, Anguilla has the Zenaida dove as its national animal, Argentina has Rufous Hornero, Australia’s national animal is the red kangaroo, Botswana has plain zebra as their national animal, the national animal of Belize is Baird’s tapir, Canada has North America beaver as their national animal. Some countries, just like the national animal, also have a national bird, fish, or mammal that signifies the different Characteristics of their country. For instance, the national bird is the giant Ibis; the national fish is the giant barb and the national mammal is the kouprey, Norway’s national bird is the white-throated dipper and the national horse is the Fjord Horse, the national bird of the United States is Bald eagle and national mammal of United States is American Bison, Venezuela’s national bird is Venezuelan troupial, United Arab Emirates national bird is Peregrine Falcon, Sri Lanka national bird is Sri Lankan Jungle Fowl, and many more countries are those who have their national animal, bird, dog, cat, mammal, etc. And these characteristics only affect the countries in their way. 

National Animal of India 

As discussed before a national symbol or national animal signifies an image of a country and they are chosen very carefully. Therefore, the Royal Bengal Tiger is chosen as the national animal of India. According to the Hindu mythology and Vedic era, a tiger is considered to be a sign of great power. And India is home to about 80 % Percent of tigers in the world. Around 80% percent of tigers in the world are found in India only. The scientific name of the royal Bengal tiger is panthera Tigris Tigris. The royal Bengal tiger is a proper sign of grace, strength, power, and ability. It purely signifies the image of India. Even you would notice the government and people of India have made the tiger so important that on every note of India there’s a small image of a tiger on it. The Royal Bengal Tiger is an animal that is lethal, majestic, and dangerous, these are the abilities that make it different from all the animals that exist in this world. Thus, the Royal Bengal Tiger is the National Animal of India. 

National Animal of Japan 

 A species that is often referred to as the national animal of Japan is the green pheasant. The green pheasant is an omnivore species which has been found in Japan for a million years. Surprisingly this species is not found in other places in the world other than Japan. The green pheasant has been the national animal of Japan since 1947 and currently it is a very important iconic sign of Japan. 

National Animal of South Korea 

A National Animal of a country is a very important sign or symbol of a country. A national animal of a country usually signifies the proper image and the characteristics of a country. The Korean tiger is considered to be the national animal of South Korea. A million years ago the Korean peninsula was home to a lot of tigers, then after the partition of South and North Korea, the tiger became the national animal of South Korea. However, Korean tigers have now become extinct but still, it is the National Animal of South Korea. And North Korea doesn’t have any official national animal as such. The Korean tigers had a lot of importance in Korean history. Especially white tigers especially had a very important part in Korean History. If someone loses at the map of Korea it is indeed in the shape of a stretching tiger.
