Bihar is one of the biggest cultivation regions worldwide. Proper usage of the river Ganga is done by the farmer’s Bihar. There are many movements and historical events which happened in the past on this soil. Bihar is always in consideration of the modern history of India in many instances which includes independence of India, congress cabinet, many movements etc. It is the culture and people who represent that they are hardworking and they are ready to fight for their rights as well. If you look at today’s Bihar situation then it can be seen that they may look backward as compared to any other state.
Short Brief
Despite being important to the World, not just India but every single movement from Bihar is making history. Many historical events which were part of India’s development include a big contribution from Bihar as well. Mahatma Gandhi played a big part in saving Bihar’s true identity. Bihar has helped in modern history related incidents to fight against the unethical event by the British Indian government.
About European companies entering Bihar
Portuguese have first entered Bihar, after knowing the fact that Bihar is having excellent cultivation lands. Portuguese chose to build their factory firstly in Bihar’s Hooghly place. According to the modern history of Bihar, after taking permission from Emperor Akbar, the Captain of Portuguese Side Pedro Travers instructed to establish this factory in 1579-1580. Also, the Secondary factory was developed in Bihar as well in Patna city but this time by the British during the time of 1620. In 1632, the Dutch Company also chose to create a factory in Patna as well. In the end, the part of this modern history is Danes they have also chosen to establish the factory in Nepali Kothi of Patna.
British East India Company’s relation with Bihar
On 22nd Oct 1764 Battle of Buxar was fought by the Mughal army and British forces which were under the lead of Hector Munro. For the rights of Bihar and Bengal, the British decided to divide the Treaty of Allahabad. Just for diwani functioning the British Company choose to appoint two deputies for the post of Diwan i.e. Reza Khan and Raja Sitab for Bengal and Bihar respectively. In 1781, the Constitution of the Revenue Council of Patna which was created in 1770 was later on replaced by the position of Revenue Chief of Bihar. Just for the fare share of revenue permanent settlement the history of Bihar says the settlement was introduced by Lord Cornwallis for the state of Madras, Orissa and Bengal, i.e. 1/11th for Zamindars and 10/11th for British India company.
Bihar Under British Raj
Modern history says Patna was the only state which retained its glory and became an important part of the strategy making Centre for the trading process. Till 1912 Bihar used to be called part of Bengal but later on Orissa and Bihar were carved away after taking a fair decision. After 1905, Patna became the capital city of New Bihar and also this city got an extra portion for the administrative base purpose. Today many people study in Britain’s developed colleges which are parts of the modern history of Bihar like:-

Movements in Bihar
Since Bihar was an active Participant in many movements and revolts for the struggle for freedom of India there was never a question that this state has its name in the history of Bihar and also in the world’s history.
Wahabi Movement: This movement was started with the inspiration of Shah Waliullah (Delhi) and Abdul Wahab (Saudi Arabia).
Revolutionary Movement: One of the famous movements which are part of modern history includes the establishment of Anushilan Samiti in Patna which was taken care of by Sachindranath Sanyal and Bankimchandra Mitra.
Conclusion
Since Bihar is part of modern history it involved many successful events as well including the unforgettable Champaran Satyagraha. In 1971 Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi started the Civil Disobedience Movement and this movement came in succession after the British Government was forced to create a committee which helped people get their proper compensation. So the bottom line here is even if the state is underdeveloped,but when it comes to reality, the country has always taken care of this integral part of the world.
