National Institute Of Open School (NIOS)
The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS, formerly National Open School, is an educational institution of the Federal Government of India. Established in 1989 by the Human Resources Development Bureau of the Government of India, it provides education in all areas of society with the aim of improving literacy rates and aims for flexible learning. NIOS, like CBSE and ICSE, is a national agency that manages examinations for Secondary and Senior Secondary. It also offers vocational training courses after graduating from high school. NIOS offers Elementary level Courses through its Open Basic Education Programmes (OBE).
The National Institute of Open Science (NIOS) interacts with the Commonwealth of Learning (COL) and UNESCO. It also operates study centres in Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Kuwait, Nepal, Canada, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Australia, the United Kingdom, New Zealand, Malaysia, Singapore, and the United States of America for Indian expats.
NIOS ODE (On-Demand Examination)-
The National Institute of Open Schooling has also introduced the concept of OnDemand Examinations (ODES), which allows candidates to take the exam in preparation. There is no set time or schedule for candidates to take the test.
This concept was first introduced in secondary education in 2003 and proved to be a major step towards flexibility and distance learning. This improves grades by allowing students to take the exam as they wish, with the entire exam system independent of timeframes.
National Institute Of Fashion Technology
National Institute Of Fashion Technology is the country’s first fashion institute, founded in 1986, and has been at the forefront of supplying professional human resources to the textile and clothing industries. It was established as a formal institute in 2006 by an Act of the Indian Parliament, with the President of India serving as the ‘Visitor,’ and now has full-fledged campuses across the country. Over the years, NIFT has also served as a knowledge service provider to the Union and State governments in the areas of handloom and handicraft design development and positioning.
NIFT has 17 campuses around the country. In 1986, the first campus opened in Hauz Khaz, New Delhi. In 1995, campuses were opened in Chennai, Kolkata, Gandhinagar, Hyderabad, and Mumbai, followed by the Bengaluru campus in 1997. Bhopal’s campus opened in June 2008, Bhubaneswar’s in 2010, Jodhpur’s in 2010, Kangra in 2009, Kannur’s in
2008 but not permanently in 2012, and Patna’s in 2008. In the last ten years, Raebareli, Shillong, Srinagar, and Panchkula have all been established.

Maulana Azad National Institute Of Technology
Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (MANIT or NIT Bhopal, NIT-B) in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh is a public technical institution. It is one of India’s National Institutes of Technology, a collection of nationally financed institutions. It is named after Abul Kalam Azad, India’s first Minister of Education, scholar, and freedom activist, who is better known as Maulana Azad.
It was founded in 1960 as Maulana Azad College of Technology (MACT) or Regional Engineering College (REC) in Bhopal. In 2002, it became a National Institute of Technology, and in 2007, it was designated as an Institute of National Importance under the NIT Act. The NIT Council governs the institute, which is wholly sponsored by the Ministry of Human Resource Development of the Government of India. In science, technology, engineering, architecture, and management, it offers bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees.

MANIT covers 650 acres (260 ha), making it one of India’s largest NITs in terms of overall campus space. The National Institute of Ayurveda is an apex autonomous institute under the Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, whose mission is to promote the growth and development of Ayurveda as a model institute for evolving high standards of teaching, training, research, and patient care, as well as to instil a scientific perspective on Ayurvedic System of Healthcare knowledge.
The Government of Rajasthan created an autonomous Ayurvedic College in August 1946, and on February 7, 1976, this College was combined to form the National Institute of Ayurveda, also known as NIA in the Ayurveda fraternity. As early as 1970, this was one of the few Ayurvedic Colleges in the country to offer Post-Graduate Ayurvedic Education. The Institute has progressed substantially in the sector since its inception in 1976.
