Population Density: Jharkhand 2001 to 2011
“Density of population” is defined as the number of people per square kilometre. It is an important indicator of the Population, which indicates the Density of people in a certain region. The Density of Population in Jharkhand has increased to 414 people per square kilometre in 2011 from 338 people per square km in 2001. The population density in Jharkhand exceeds slightly higher than the average for the nation (382), according to the Census 2011.
Lohardaga and Dumka and Latehar Gumla and Latehar have exchanged ranks against their numbers in the 2001 Census between 17th and 18th and from 22nd until 23rd. The remaining districts have maintained their positions in the Census 2011 relative to the 2001 Census, which also shows the population, sex ratio, and literacy rates of the district of Jharkhand. It is a regular occurrence that the Density rises in all districts, not just the state, over time because of the Population growth of each Census; however, the geographic space remains nearly identical. Twelve districts in the state have reported more people over the state standard of 414. They include Dhanbad, Sahibganj, Bokaro, Ramgarh, Purbi Singhbhum, Godda, Deoghar, Ranchi, Pakur, Giridih, Jamtara, and Koderma (Population density ranging from 427 to 1284). The highest Density of people is found in Dhanbad (1284), and the lowest population density is located within Simdega (160). Both districts with a ranking similar to the 2001 Census.
