2- In January 1948, the first draft of the Constitution of India was presented for discussion. The discussion started on November 4, 1948, for 32 days. Seven thousand six hundred thirty-five amendments were proposed during this, out of which 2,473 were discussed in detail. It took 2 years, 11 months, and 18 days to finalise the constitution.
3- To make the constitution, Dr. B. R. A drafting committee was appointed under the chairmanship of Ambedkar. The last session of the Drafting Committee ended on November 26, 1949, and the constitution was adopted with the consent of all. It was implemented in the country on January 26, 1950.
4- It is customary to give a 21-gun salute to the President during the Parade on January 26. The 21-gun salute is given by 7 guns of the Indian Army, which are called ’25 pounders’. The first salute is given as soon as the national anthem begins, and the last salute is given exactly 52 seconds later.
5- Prem Bihari Narayan Raizada wrote the original copy of the constitution in Hindi and English. It took him six months to write it. For this work, a room was allotted to him in the Constitution House by the Government of India.

7- The Constitution of India is the longest and most detailed constitution globally. Prem Bihari Narayan Raizada has written every page of the constitution in beautiful handwriting and italics. When the constitution came into force, it contained 395 articles and 8 schedules, and this constitution was divided into 22 parts.
8- During the Parade of January 26 every year, the head of state of some country is called a guest. Dr. Sukarno’s President of Indonesia was invited as a guest in the first Parade held on January 26, 1950.
9- From 1950 to 1954, Republic Day celebrations were held at Irwin Stadium (now called National Stadium), Kingsway, Red Fort, and Ramlila Maidan. In 1955, Republic Day celebrations started being organised at Rajpath. The Governor-General of Pakistan, Malik Ghulam Mohammad, was invited as a guest at the first Parade held at Rajpath in 1955.
