Events are generally known to be occurrences and happenings, but the meaning of the term differs concerning its consecutive fields. This study will focus on delving into making an effective understanding of important events in the world. Moreover, we will thereby, acknowledge the term that defines events and will tell about events of the present day. In addition to this focus will also be given to the “days that are recognized as celebrations”. Furthermore, some notable events of “world history” are as well discussed with a major focus on the 20th century. 

Understanding Important Events in the World

The options events are quite important as they create notable significance with respect to both microscopic as well as macroscopic levels. With notions of event generation, marks are created in several fields catering to the societal, political, environmental, cultural as well as economic. In the field of history, events provide significance leading to the growth and progression of civilization. In events dated from history, we get to the true nature of human civilization, which thereby provides us with significant evidence for our progressive civilizations. These days provide a sense of achievement and a day to reward their notable works.  In India, such days of celebration relate to “Republic Day” which is on the 26th of January, Independence Day on 15th of August, “Gandhi Jayanti” which is on the 2nd of October. These days are celebrated every year in India to celebrate the national significance in the lives of Indian civilians.

Of them the major events are, “the Plague” commonly referred to as the “Black Death” which occurred in England in the year 1364. “Sealing of Magna Carta” in the year 1215 can also be considered to be one of the great events. “Wars of the roses begin” which took place in the year 1455 and so on. However, it has not only changed the habitats but enhanced several aspects associated with life. Such events are, “rise of dictatorships”, “The Russian Revolution and Communism”, “World War I”, and “economic depression”.
