The Human Development Index, which seems to be the full form of HDI, seems to be a comprehensive statistical index that represents the life expectancy of people in a country, education that entails the number of years an average person in a country pursues education or if an average person has the minimum educational qualifications. The index also includes per capita income measures that seem to be used to categorise nations into 4 categories in human development Index tiers. When a country’s lifespan index seems to have a longer life expectancy, its education level seems to be better and more efficient, and its gross national income per capita also has better outputs because of better education, and overall the nation ranks higher when the human development ranks are evaluated by the United nations. The HDI was developed by an economist named Mahbub ul Haq and was adopted by the United nation development programme later for reporting development stages happening throughout decades in all the countries around the world.
The HDI was originally established for primarily underlining the areas comprising people, including their talents, instead of just the economic progress is the primary standard for judging overall growth.
