However, there is huge potential for improvement in the Indian education framework. It can be said that the Indian education system may go through significant improvement in the coming years. Currently, the education market in India is esteemed to be US$ 100 billion and is thought to grow up to US$180 billion by 2020. The overall sum of FDI or Foreign direct investment into the education sector was US$ 1.67 billion from April 2000 to December 2017. The training and education sector has seen some significant improvements and speculations in the past. These have been outlined in the following.

  • Capacity Utilisation: In current times, an acute need for a creative mind has immerged. Hence, the Indian government must focus on encouraging schools so that they boost the creativity of the students and ensure that the ideas of the students are not left unheard.

  • PPP model: Properly designed PPP- model can facilitate education within the school system. These PPP models or the Private Public Model must be taken under consideration. 
  • Teacher-student ratio: It can be observed that the students who seek proper education are much more than available teachers and faculty. Hence, properly qualified teachers need to be hired so that they can impart knowledge for the country’s betterment. 

Solutions to the Problems in India’s Current Education System

  • Educational quality: The type of education provided in the urban areas and the type of education provided in the rural areas are highly different. Proper steps need to be taken to provide a standardised form of education in the rural as well as the urban areas for the overall development of education throughout India.
  • Innovations needed: Currently India is incorporating digital education. This will also help in improving the student’s innovative minds as well as the mind of the country’s youth. 
  • Making education affordable for everyone: In India the Government educational institutions are affordable. However, they lack in terms of quality and infrastructure. The Government must work towards improving the infrastructure of the educational institutions as well make them affordable to all types of students.
