Explanation of honours and awards

As per the terminology by the general dictions when somebody has been recognised and respected in order to achieve something new and inspiring, honour has been offered to the person. On the contrary, in reference to the general terminology, an award has been referred to as a kind of prize that is offered to the recipient for something special that has been achieved by the award receiver. According to the general terminology, the recipient has been referred to as the respective person who receives something. In a simpler term, it can be stated that the person who receives any kind of prize or honour for the achievements the person has successfully conducted has been referred to as the recipient. On the other hand, the person who also has the eligibility of receiving some kind of recognition or award for doing something new is also recognised as the recipient. It can be demonstrated that the word has been derived from the Latin direction recipients. This particular term in Latin diction has a meaning that demonstrates a verb that is to hold or contain.

Names of Padma Awards

Padma awards are announced every year on Republic Day after being instituted in 1954. In accordance with the records, from the year 1987 to 1980 and 1993 to 1997, the government of India has not been able to offer Padma awards to any recipients. According to the information, the Padma awards have been categorised into three different categories. The categories of the Padma awards have included the awards such as Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri. For exceptional and distinguished service, Padma Vibhushan has been provided. Padma Bhushan is the third-highest civilian award and the Padma Shri was offered with no other benefits. 

Padma Awards offered in 2020

According to the records, it has been found that in the year 2020, Padma Vibhushan has been awarded to 7 recipients including M.C. Mary Kom and Sushma Swaraj. In addition, it has been found that the Padma Bhushan has been offered to more than ten recipients including persons like M. Mumtaz Ali in 2020. In addition to the previously mentioned names, the Padma Shri has been offered to more than twenty recipients including persons like H.M Desai, M.P Ganesh, Bharat Goenka and many more in the year 2020. 

Significance of offering Padma Awards

The Padma awards have been considered one of the highest civilian awards that can be offered by the Republic of India. Based on these informative facts, the significance of the Padma awards is considered much higher in comparison to any other awards provided by the government of India. The Indian government has displayed various importance such as helping to make the recipients feel that the government of India has valued their work. In addition, the significance of the Padma awards lies in offering recognition of the good deeds of the recipients for inspiring their general people to work well for society.
