Andhra Pradesh is a primarily agricultural region, along with the presence of industries and mining activities. 

In the year 2014, Telangana was portioned out of the state of Andhra Pradesh. This was made into a separate state of the Indian Subcontinent. It must be noted that the capital of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh is Hyderabad. Hyderabad is situated in the central (west) portion of the state of Telangana.
