However, the conditions were not the same back in the 90s. The growth of technology is recent, and it started with the introduction of computers. Computers made everything easy and simple. They made calculations faster than the human brain, they made complex calculations look easy, they could multitask, and therefore, they soon became the reason for the inception of the technological renaissance. Computers are still widely used, and their importance has only increased.
A computer performs a plethora of tasks, as mentioned above, with the help of software. Therefore, software is one of the most important elements in a computer. However, the computer performs complex tasks with the help of operating systems.
What is an operating system?
The operating system is a program of software that performs the task of managing and operating devices. Smartphones, computers, laptops, smartwatches, supercomputers, web servers, network towers, even cars are operated with the help of an operating system. Therefore, the operating system is one of the most crucial software programs. An operating system helps the user to give commands to the system that the user is using. It removes the compulsion and complexity of knowing and understanding coding to give instructions to the computing system. It helps in managing software and aids in the execution of tasks. An operating system acts as GUI between the computer and the user and thus eliminates the need to know how to code.

About GUI basic
GUI stands for Graphical User Interface. Graphical User Interface helps a user to communicate with the machine with the help of visual representation. Graphical User Interface visually represents icons or buttons that help the user to give instructions to the program of the machine. Without the GUI Basics, the user had to use text or command-based communication, which is more complex and time-consuming. The most commonly and widely used Graphical User Interface is the Microsoft Operating system.
How does GUI work?
The cursor that is operated with the help of a mouse is a pointer that helps the user to navigate and interact visually by selecting Graphical icons to perform a task. The user clicks on the icon which further results in another sequence of actions. The Graphical User Interface lets the user interact with the computer by translating coding language with single clicks and double clicks of the mouse. This allows the user to communicate with the computer without any knowledge of machine language or assembly language. The machine then performs the task as per the instructions it receives by the machine language that has been converted from the clicks of the mouse.
