There have been around nine versions of Microsoft Office released to date. The latest microsoft version used in Microsoft Office nowadays is Microsoft Office 2019. Microsoft Office 2019 was released in the year 2018 on the 24th day of September.

Microsoft Office 95
Microsoft Office 1995 which was also known by the name Microsoft Office for Windows 95 was the greatest release by the Microsoft company. It came out not long after Windows 95. It consists of several applications like Microsoft Word (a word processor), Microsoft Excel (a spreadsheet application), Microsoft PowerPoint (a presentation program), Microsoft Access (a database management system), Microsoft Schedule+ (a time management app), and Binder were all included in Microsoft Office 95. Microsoft Bookshelf was included in the CD-ROM(Compact Disk Read Only memory) version. The Office 95 version required a higher CPU( Central Processing Unit). For ordinary use, it also needs 8 MB of RAM.
Microsoft Office 97
Microsoft Office 1997 was released on 20 June 1997 by Microsoft. Microsoft Office 1997 was released as a better and updated version compared to Microsoft Office 1997. Microsoft Office 2000 was later able to recover it. It also included sophisticated grammar checking and natural language algorithms. In Microsoft Word 1997 they introduced a hidden pinball game. The Microsoft Excel 1997 consisted of a hidden flight simulator. One disadvantage is that without conversion, you won’t be able to use Office 97 files on machines running Office 95 software. It also required space of 200 Mb.
Microsoft Office 2000
On March 29, 1999, Microsoft released Office 2000 for production, and on June 7, 1999, it was released for retail. It is Office 97’s successor and Office XP’s predecessor. Office 2000uses a new feature in its system named HTML(HyperText Markup Language). It is used for creating documents and publishing them on the Internet. It’s also the first time Windows Installer has been used to install Office. It also includes Internet Explorer 5 and makes use of its features.
Microsoft Office XP
Microsoft Office XP is the Windows operating system that was first released in July 2000. On March 5, 2001, Microsoft officially released Office XP to the public. Unresponsive Office programs can be securely restarted or terminated, and open documents can be saved before termination. Office XP products will start in Safe Mode by default, which is a safe or we can say evaluation mode that allows programs to look after the cause of a problem if they can’t start properly.
Microsoft Office 2003
On August 19, 2003, Office 2003 was released to manufacturing, and on October 21, 2003, it was released to retail, exactly two years after Windows XP. It was the forerunner of Office 2007 and succeeded Office XP. Smart tags, such as smart tag Lists, which are created in XML, have been improved in Office 2003 with the use of regular expressions and an enlarged type library. Microsoft Office 2003 version had the fully customizable toolbars and menus.

Microsoft Office 2007 was released on January 30, 2007. Microsoft Office Groove was a great platform for small businesses that uses the new applications and server-side technologies included with Office 2007. Fluent User Interface is the new user interface (UI) that has been incorporated into the primary Microsoft Office products. The Office 2007 button, which is positioned in the upper-left corner of the window, replaces the File menu and gives you access to standard Office functions including opening, saving, printing, and sharing files.
Microsoft Office 2010
Microsoft Office 2010 was released to manufacturing on April 15, 2010, with public availability on June 15, 2010. It has succeded to Office 2007 and later was the predecessor to Office 2013. The Office menu, which was introduced in Office2007, has been replaced with a new Backstage view interface, which is aimed to make document management and sharing operations easier to access by bringing them all together in one place. On the ribbon in Office2010, there’s a new Pasting Options gallery. In OneNote, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word, a Mini Translator allows users to translate chosen text.

Microsoft Office 2019 is the most recent Microsoft version. It’s a collection of all the best features from Office 365 up until the 2019 release, making it one of the most comprehensive and value upgrades available. For casual home users and students, there is a Home and Student version. It was released on 24 September 2019.
