SBI PO Application Process
Candidates appearing for the SBI PO exam must apply online. Applications in any other mode will not be accepted.
There are a few guidelines about filling out online application forms that candidates must know. The same is listed below-
- Candidates need to register themselves via SBI’s official website, wherein they need to click on the Careers tab
- Upon successful registration, candidates need to pay the required amount of application fee through online mode by using credit card/ debit card/ Internet Banking
a) Registration and payment of fees (Online mode only)
i) Candidates must scan their photograph, left-hand thumb impression, signature, and hand-written declaration
ii) Candidates have to submit a hand-written declaration stating:
“I________(Name of the candidate), _______(Date of Birth) hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required. The signature, photograph and left-hand thumb impression is mine.”
iii) Candidates can use their right-hand thumb impression if they don’t have their left-hand thumb impression
iv) Candidates can visit SBI’s official website and click on the Current Openings tab to open the application form
v) Candidates should fill out the application properly and submit their information correctly
vi) If a candidate cannot complete the data-filling in one sitting, he or she can save the information
vii) When a candidate saves a completed/ partially completed application, the system generates a provisional registration number and password, which should be carefully noted
viii) Candidates can use their registration number and password to revisit and amend their saved application form (if necessary)
ix) After filling out the application form, candidates should review it well before submitting it
x) Once the application form is submitted, no changes will be allowed after that
xi) At this stage, the registration is considered provisional
xii) After ensuring the accuracy of the application form, candidates need to pay the application fee via the associated gateway following the instructions displayed on their screens at that time
xiii) The payment can be made via credit/debit card or Internet Banking by providing the required information
xiv) The transaction charges need to be borne by candidates only
xv) Upon successful completion of the fee payment, an e-receipt and the application form will be generated
xvi) Candidates can take a printout of the e-receipt and the application form for future references
xvii) Candidates are required to register themselves again if the fee payment fails
xviii) Candidates need not send any printout of the application form to the bank
b) Guidelines regarding scanning the photograph, signature, left-hand thumb impression, and hand-written declaration
Candidates must have a scanned image of their photograph, signature, hand-written declaration, and left-hand thumb impression before applying online. The registration process will not be completed unless they upload the above mentioned documents.
Note:
i) The applicant’s candidature is subject to cancellation in case the signature, photograph, hand-written declaration, or left-hand thumb impression is unclear
ii) In such cases, candidates can edit their application and re-upload the specified documents before final submission
