IBPS-PO examination will be conducted in two phases – Online (Preliminary & Main) and Common Interview. Applicants must note that the mains examination will be conducted in online mode only.

Note: Applicants must qualify for each of the tests by securing the minimum marks as decided by the IBPS. After qualifying in the preliminary examination the shortlisted candidates can give the main examination.

- The English language descriptive paper [letter writing and essay] may be evaluated according to the automated scoring mechanism for identifying features related to writing proficiency
- The duration of the preliminary examination is 1 hour
- The duration of the online mains examination is 3 hours and 30 minutes
Penalty for Wrong Answers ( Online Main and Preliminary Exam)
There is a penalty for wrong answers that are marked incorrectly in the objective-type questions. For each wrong answer, one-fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as a penalty. However, if no answer is chosen, there will be no penalty for that question.
