The temperate needle - leaf or coniferous forests contain economically valuable gymnosperms, like the pine (Pinus wallichiana), deodar (Cedrus deodara), cypress (Cupressus torulosa), spruce (Picea smithiana) and silver fir (Abies pindrow)

Temperate grasslands, savan nas, and shrublands are terrestrial biomes whose predominant vegetation consis ts of grass and/or shrubs. Grasslands occur naturally on all continents The climate is temperate and ranges from semi-arid to semi- humid. except Antarctica. . Tropical grasslands are closest to the equator and remain hot all over the year. Grasslands are referred to by different names in different parts of the world.
