mam,what is the difference between the quasi static & internal reversible process?
becoz temperature of ice and temperature of atmosphere comes in equilibrium so ice turns in water
Maam,can we consider Melting of ice as a one type of Quasi static process?

4. What is Thermodynamics? O It is the science of energy and entropy. It is the science of energy transfer and it's effect on physical properties of the substance. O It is the science that deals with heat and work.

6. Some basic definitions O Surrounding: The mass or region outside the system O Phase: A quantity of matter that is homogenous throughout. O Homogenous phase: uniform physical structure And chemical composition. Example superheated steam. O Heterogeneous phase: chemical composition uniform but multiple phase exist. Example: saturated steam.

7. Continued O State: the state maybe identified or described by certain macroscopic properties ( , .etc). Each of the properties have only one definite value in a given State and these Properties have same value for a given State O Process: whenever one or more of the properties of a system change, we say that is a change in state. The path of succession of states through which the system passes is called process.

8. Quasi Static procesS When a system proceeds in a manner that the system remains infinitesimally close to the equilibrium state at all times. The process takes place very slowly.

9. Internal reversible process A reversible process is the one where the system an surrounding come back to same initial state following same path. If only reversibility of system is considered and not surrounding, i.e the system is reversible but not surrounding. VAPOUR -Close L 1801D
