The Commission announced the exam dates for SSC MTS 2023 on March 29. The exam will be conducted in two phases, with phase I scheduled from May 2 to 19 and phase II from June 13 to 20. The application status for SSC MTS 2023 is expected to be released in mid-April, and the admit card will be issued four days before the candidate’s exam date. The decision to have two phases is likely due to the large number of applications received for SSC MTS 2023.

SSC MTS Exam Pattern 2023:
The SSC MTS Exam is conducted in two stages:
- Paper 1: Computer-Based Examination (Objective Type)
- Subjects: General Intelligence & Reasoning, Numerical Aptitude, General English, and General Awareness
- Total Marks: 100
- Duration: 90 minutes
- Negative Marking: 0.25 marks deducted for each incorrect answer
- Paper 2: Descriptive Examination (Offline Mode)
- Subject: Short Essay/Letter in English or any language included in the 8th schedule of the Constitution
- Total Marks: 50
- Duration: 30 minutes
Note:
Paper 2 is qualifying in nature and is intended to test basic language skills. It is necessary to score the minimum qualifying marks in Paper 2 to be considered for further selection.
SSC MTS Syllabus 2023:
The syllabus for the SSC MTS Exam includes the following topics:
- General Intelligence & Reasoning: Similarities and differences, Space visualization, Problem-solving, Analysis, Judgment, Decision making, Visual memory, etc.
- Numerical Aptitude: Number Systems, Computation of Whole Numbers, Decimals and Fractions, Relationship between numbers, Time and Distance, Time and Work, etc.
- General English: Basics of English language, Vocabulary, Grammar, Sentence structure, Synonyms, Antonyms, etc.
- General Awareness: Current events, Sports, History, Culture, Geography, Economic Scene, General Polity, etc.
