Every year, millions of aspirants take the SSC GD test and are selected as General Duty Constables in various Central Police Organisations including the BSF, CISF, ITBP, CRPF, and Rifleman in AR. The SSC GD Constable Recruitment selection procedure includes a computer-based examination, a physical efficiency test, a physical standard test, a medical examination, and document verification. On 27th October 2022, the Staff Selection Commission published the SSC GD Constable Recruitment Notification on its official site.
SSC has published a large number of openings for the position of constable (General Duty). The total number of updated vacancies is 50,187, which are available to fill the positions of Constable GD in the Border Security Force, Central Industrial Security Force, Central Reserve Police Force, Indo Tibetan Border Police, Sepoy in the NCB, Sahastra Seema Bal, and Rifleman in the Assam Rifles.
