Mumbai -The Film City of India

The Bollywood film industry is one of the biggest industries. It is situated in Goregaon East Mumbai, near Sanjay Gandhi National Park. History of Mumbai Film City

It was the beginning of the Cinema in the year 1896 also when at the  Hotel of Watson Bombay, the first feature film was screened. Dadasaheb Phalke produced The First length motion origin of India, introduced as The Indian Cinema. Dadasaheb has produced more films. Some of those are Raja Harishchandra, in which he cast only male actors because females were not used to casting at that time because of some backward mentality. The film Raja Harishchandra in 1913 got released.

When reading the history of Dadasaheb film city, after the release of his first movie Raja Harishchandra which was seeded in 1913, kept on going and going so far and with lots of prosperity. Then in 1977, some of the visionaries of Indian Cinema names, including legendary actors Dilip Kumar, Late Shri V.Shantaram, and Late Shri B.R.Chopra, came together and established Maharashtra Film, Cultural and Stage Development Corporation Ltd., or ‘Bollywood Film City Mumbai’.
