The birth rate is the number of people born in a population in a particular period of time. The number of people born every year per 1000 in the population is referred to as the human birth rate. For example, if 45 births occur per 1000 people per year, the birth rate is 45. This rate sometimes is stated as a percentage, in this example 4.5 per 100 or 4.5 percent.

• The current birth rate Trend in India for the year 2022 is a decline of 1.23% from the previous year 2021, as the number of births recorded is at 17.163 births per 1000 individuals.

•       Global life expectancy for women is 75 years and 71 years for men, and 85 percent.

Mortality Rates In India

The death rate is the number of deaths that occur during the year per 1,000 people determined at the midpoint of the year. When the death rate is deducted from the birth rate, the rate of natural growth is directly proportional to the rate of population increase in the lack of migration.

In 2020, India’s mortality rate was 7.3 per 1,000 people. Between 1971 and 2020, India’s mortality rate declined, falling from 16.7 per 1,000 people in 1971 to 7.2 per 1,000 people in 2020.
