Introduction

Common Service Centres (CSC) are physical facilities used to deliver Government of India e-Services to rural and remote areas where computer and Internet access is limited or non-existent. They’re a multiple-services single-point model for facilitating multiple transactions at a single physical location.

CSCs are access points for citizens in rural and remote areas of the country to receive essential public utility services, social welfare schemes, healthcare, financial, education, and agriculture services, as well as a variety of B2C services. It is a pan-India network that caters to the country’s regional, geographic, linguistic, and cultural diversity, allowing the government to fulfill its mandate of creating a socially, financially, and digitally inclusive society.

PMJAY Eligibility

Those living in scheduled caste and scheduled tribe households are eligible for PMJAY health coverage in rural areas.Households from Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe communities. Landless families rely on manual labour for the majority of their income.

The Ayushman Bharat Health Scheme covers the following entities:

  • Only having a single room with kutcha walls and a kutcha roof
  • Landless families rely on manual labour to supplement their income
  • Female-headed families (where no adult male member present between the age group of 16-59 years)
  • No able-bodied adult members and a disabled member
  • Households of Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe
  • Families who are homeless
  • Destitute/alms-recipient
  • Families of manual scavengers
  • Tribes from the past

Eligibility Criteria for Rural Areas – 

  1. Families with no male members in the age group of 16-59 years.
  2. Family having any disabled member and no able-bodied adult family member.
  3. Family those who are working as manual scavengers.
  4. Primitive tribal groups
  5. Families without any household.
  6. Landless families whose major source of income is from labour.
  7. Those families who are living in a single room temporary house without proper constructed rooms and walls.
  8. Legally released contracted labour.
  9. Those families who are facing extreme poverty.

Eligibility Criteria for Urban Areas

With the insurance of INR 5 lacs per family, the scheme will provide the benefit for the following people belonging to urban regions – 

  1. Rag Pickers
  2. Domestic workers
  3. Beggars
  4. Sweepers and sanitation workers.
  5. Washerman
  6. Home-based helpers, workers and tailors.
  7. Cart/rickshaw pullers, helpers with heavy load workers.
  8. Delivery boys, shop assistants, waiters
