In 1994, the government of Karnataka established the Common Entrance Cell for conducting entrance exams to determine the aptitude/merit for admission to the first year of full-time courses. This entrance examination is called Karnataka CET or KCET.
Students who cleared Class exams and desire to pursue – Medical, Dental, Indian Systems Of Medicine and Homeopathy, Engineering / Architecture Courses, B.Sc. – Agriculture AKA Farm Science, Sericulture, Horticulture, Forestry, Agri Bio Tech, Agri-Marketing & Co-Op or, B.Tech – Agri.Engg, Food Technology, Dairy Tech, Food Science & Tech or B.FSc.(Fisheries) or BHSc.(Home Science) or B-Pharma, Pharm-D Courses, BNYS and other similar courses in Karnataka need to appear for KCET. A student also needs to score more than the cut off to instigate the next steps of admission into any of the desired undergraduate courses.

How to Check KCET Result 2022?
Here is a step-by-step guide on how an applicant can check KCET Result 2022 online:
- Once the results are out, visit the official website https://cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea/
- Look for a link in the ‘Latest Announcement’ section that says CET Results Announced and click on the link.
- By clicking on it, you will be redirected to a new page.
- Enter your registration number and submit.
- The result will then be displayed on your screen.
- Take a printout of the result for future reference and use.

KCET Counselling 2022
After the KCET Results 2022 are out, a tentative date will be notified for KCET Counselling on https://cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea/. KCET Counselling is a process followed by the Karnataka Examinations Authority to complete the admission process. The shortlisted candidates will be called for KCET Counselling 2022 at their designated centres. In order to opt for KCET Counselling 2022, a student must apply for the same on the official website in the timelines given by them. Only the candidates who participate in KCET Counselling 2022 will be eligible for college seat allotment.

- Post KCET 2022 results, check if you qualify for KCET Counselling 2022.
- If a student qualifies, they must get their documents verified and registered at the authorized centres.
- On successful validation, every student will be provided with a unique Id and password for the further process.
- This login detail is to be used by the students to apply to their choice of colleges and institutions. If a candidate fails to lock in their choice before the deadline, Karnataka Examinations Authority will automatically select the colleges for such candidates. If done, this action cannot be reversed.
- Based on the choices, mock allotments will be made for students by the Karnataka Examinations Authority. After the announcement of KCET Mock Allotment 2022, students get a chance to alter their choices or lock their seats. Allotment status can be checked using the KCET number on the official website.
- A candidate with an allotted seat has to confirm the same with the college and pay the fees to reserve it.
