the formula to find the force of attraction is:

Fg = (Gm1m2)/d2

F refers to the force of attraction. 

G refers to the gravitational constant (6.67 × 10-11 Nm2/kg2),

m1 refers to the mass of object one 

m2 refers to the mass of the object’s second

d refers to the distance between the two objects

Solved Examples

  1. Compute the gravitational force acts amongst two bodies of masses 20,000 kg and 50,000 kg parted by 50 m.

Given, 

mass m1 = 50000 kg,

mass m2 = 20000 kg,

radius r = 50 m,

Gravitational constant G = 6.67 × 10-11 Nm2/kg2

The force due to gravity is articulated as,

F= (6.67×10-11 x 20000 x 50000)/50                

So here is our answer the gravitational force between two objects is

2.67 10-5
