Ans. A unit cell is the smallest duplicating part of a crystal lattice. Unit cells come in a variety of shapes and sizes. For example, the cubic crystal structure has three different types of unit cells: (1) plain cubic, (2) face-centred cubic, and (3) body-centred cubic.
