but in arrays we have directed directly as *ptr={ 1,2,3}
Shraddha S K
10 months ago
*ptr=&x will points ptr to address of x
DN
Deepesh Nair
10 months ago
then why not in this one
Shraddha S K
10 months ago
Here we want ptr to point to x
DN
Deepesh Nair
10 months ago
as we have only introduced a single variable x and that too variable's value as 3
DN

ok!mam got it! thank i
Shraddha S K

of you write like *ptr =3 it will point to some other location and that location has the value as 3. What we want is to point to the value 3 in the address of x. that's why we use *ptr=&x

when we write int *x and print *x we will get answer as 3 not the address, right!
DN
Deepesh Nair
10 months ago
and when we print only x we get address of that variable
Shraddha S K

Yeah you are right

mam, I have one doubt not related to these pointers
DN
Deepesh Nair

but , can we use use same initials to copy array to another one
DN
Deepesh Nair
9 months ago
like for(i=0;i<n;i++) { a[i]=b[i]; }
DN

where I is assigned same to both the arrays
Mam in some questions ,in conclusion - if either 1 or 2 follows r given along with 4 options ,what about that
in Q5 why we can't draw telephone circle entirely in birds circle?
i have the same question
