TS EAMCET Eligibility Criteria

The Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad (JNTU Hyderabad) conducts TS EAMCET i.e. Telangana State Engineering, Agriculture, and Medical Common Entrance Test on behalf of the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE). 

Candidates applying for the Engineering stream can get admission in the following undergraduate course: B.E, B.Tech, B.Tech (Agricultural Engineering), B.Tech (Dairy Technology), B.Tech (Bio-Technology), B.Tech (FT), B.Pharm (MPC) and Pharm-D (MPC).

The eligibility criteria for the TS EAMCET (Engineering) as per the recent notification are given below. Candidates who satisfy the eligibility shall be eligible to appear for TS EAMCET (Engineering).

  • Applicants should be a Citizen of India or Person of Indian Origin (PIO)  or Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) cardholders
  • The applicants should be a resident of the state of Telangana/ Andhra Pradesh
  • The candidates should fulfil Local or Non-Local status requirements as stated in Telangana/ Andhra Pradesh

 

For Engineering, B.Pharmacy (M.P.C), B.Tech (Dairy Technology) B.Tech (Agricultural Engineering), and B.Tech (Food Technology) courses:

  1. Applicants should have passed or appeared for the 12th examination (10+2) with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry as optional or vocational subjects in the fields of Engineering and Technology, held by the Board of Intermediate Education, Telangana/Andhra Pradesh, along with bridge course or courses conducted by it for students enrolled from the year 2000-2002 onwards, or some other state board examination recognized as equivalent by the Board of Intermediate Education, Telangana/Andhra Pradesh.

OR

Applicants should have passed or attempted for the last year of diploma exam in engineering conducted by the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Telangana/ Andhra Pradesh, or some other state board examination recognized equivalent by the Board of Intermediate Education, Telangana/Andhra Pradesh.

2. Students should obtain at least 45% marks (40% for candidates belonging to the reserved category) in the subjects taken together at 10+2, except for the B.Pharmacy course.

3. There is no upper age limit. Applicants opting for Engineering and Pharmacy courses should have completed 16 years of age, as of 31st December of the year of admission. 

4. For B.Tech (Dairy Technology), B.Tech (Agricultural Engineering), and B.Tech (FT) courses, candidates should have completed 17 years of age on 31st December of the year of admission. There is an upper age limit of 22 years for all the candidates and 25 years in the case of SC and ST candidates.

  • For the Pharm-D course, candidates should have passed or appeared for the 12th examination (10+2) with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as optional subjects conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, Telangana / Andhra Pradesh or any other exam recognized by the Board of Intermediate Education, Telangana / Andhra Pradesh, as equivalent or should have passed or appeared at the final year of the diploma exam in Pharmacy course conducted by the Telangana / Andhra Pradesh State Board of Technical Education and training
  • Candidates should be 17 years old as of 31st December of the year of admission to the above course
