Introduction

UMANG is a unified platform presented by the government of India to primary aggregate services of the government in just a click with one portal for all citizens. People can download and access all the services anytime and anywhere. It has been created by the ministry of electronics and information technology and the national e-governance division for driving mobile governance in India. All the government bodies, states, and central agencies arranged this application to manage all government services in the same portal for all citizens.

The idea of UMANG 

The Narendra Modi government has launched it to encourage and reunite more people in digital platforms to avail all kinds of services. Umang’s complete form is Unified Mobile Application for New Age governance. This app is a one-way service which is a unified application, from which anyone can avail several pan India government digital services for any tax-related, adhaar card related, provident fund related, and many more queries in a single platform. This platform provides more than 100 services from both state and central governments. 

Vision: the vision of Umang is to take the initiative to make India enable in the digital platform. Umang website, Umang gov. in, is a platform that includes all the information related to the platform. This platform’s vision is to avail all the services in single-point access for all government services. It is a master application that will integrate primary government services from different sectors like agriculture, education, housing, health, etc. this service and platform will allow citizens to avail themselves of e-governance services from all government sectors for easy and fast service allowance. 

Mission:  

• To act as an enabler and facilitator to develop a mobile-based serviced operator to deliver all services in India.
• To avail all services, single or multiple government services through one single mobile application or Umang Portal, and make it even easier by providing one toll-free number and one shortcode. 
• To provide easy, manageable, and easily accessible services to all Indians.
