Geography of Telangana 

The state of Telangana occupies an area of 112,077 sq km along the eastern coast of the Indian Peninsula. Krishna and Godavari are two major rivers that flow through the region. Hardwickia Binata and Albizia Amara form the characteristic vegetation in the valley. Approximately 27,292 km2 of the area is covered by hilly terrain, mountain ranges, and thick forests. Visitors to Telangana can enjoy fauna in national parks and wildlife sanctuaries.

  • Kothapalli Jayashankar was a social activist who led the Telangana movement and is regarded as the father of Telangana. From 1952 onward, he fought for the creation of a separate state.
