Examination structure of MAST

Format of the examination

The examination format is based on the job prospects. The exam is divided into three main sections: 

• Psychometric Assessment
• General Aptitude
• Domain Knowledge

The examination is conducted for at least two hours and thirty minutes. The exam takers are evaluated based on these sections: 

Section I: Psychometric Assessment

This section will cover leadership qualities, stress management, stability, teamwork, negotiation skills, and decision-making abilities. 

Section 2: General Aptitude

This part will have questions about your numerical abilities, managerial abilities, quantitative aptitude for competitive examination and reasoning, along with questions regarding English grammar. 

Section III: Domain Knowledge

This is the most important section to determine the future skills of a manager. The questions will be related to human resource management, information technology, international business operations and marketing. 

Section three, i.e., the domain knowledge, will have more than 50% of questions in which 15 questions out of 30 would be related to different case study types. 

Eligibility criteria for the MAST examination are as follows: 

The students in their final year of the MBA degree or PGDM (Master of Business Administration / Postgraduate Diploma in Management) are eligible for this examination. The students who are studying for a diploma are also eligible to take this examination.

Additionally, he or she should have at least three years of experience to take this examination. The best thing is that there is no age limit for the examination. Also, the clause of the job requirement is not necessarily important. A student appearing to take his or her final year papers can also take this screening test. 

How can you take the examination? 

For taking this test, students need to register themselves on the official website of AIMA. They can take part in the examination by paying a meagre amount of INR1750. The amount can be paid through credit cards, debit cards, or Paytm (approved by Master/ Visa card). Every student willing to take the examination should prepare all the documents beforehand. 

How are students selected after the examination?
