Chikmagalur

Chikmagalur is located in the foothills of the Mullayanagiri range of Karnataka, which is known as the ‘Coffee Land of Karnataka’. One can experience the aroma of coffee in the atmosphere here. Kemmanagundi Hills

Kemmanagundi is mainly composed of three Kannada words, Kempu, Mannu and Gundis. Kempu means red, Mannu means soil, and Gundis means pit. It was built primarily as Krishnaraja Wodeyar IV summer retreat at Kemmangundi. 

The Royal Horticultural Society of the state government is also located in this hill station, which is famed for its broad views and attractive gardens. There are also some unique attractions such as the Rock Garden, Jade Point, Hebbe Falls, Kalahasti Falls, and Shiva Temple. This location is known for nature trekking in addition to stunning waterfalls.
