• Pema Khandu (born in 1979 at Gyangkhar village) is the honourable chief minister of Arunachal Pradesh, India’s northeastern state. In September, he shifted his party affiliation from the Congress party to the Arunachal’s Party of People and then became a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party in December.
• Pema Khandu’s Personal Information: Late Dorjee Khandu, who was the former CM of Arunachal Pradesh, was the father of Shri Pema Khandu. He died in an accident by helicopter. Shri Pema Khandu is a Buddhist and a graduate Of Delhi University. He likes to do social service and plays Football and Cricket.

• His Career: He became the Cabinet Minister for Tourism and Water Resource Development and Rural Work in 2011. He won the Legislative Assembly Election in 2014 and became Cabinet Minister in Nabam Tuki Government. In 2016, he was selected as the CM of the state of Arunachal Pradesh.

• His Journey of Changing Party Affiliation twice: Shri Pema Khandu became the secretary of the Congress Committee of Arunachal Pradesh in 2010. After his father’s death, Shri Pema Khandu was appointed as Congress Legislative Party Leader in 2016. Then he shifted to the Arunachal Pradesh’s People Party and aligned with BJP. Khandu became the second Chief Minister of the Bharatiya Janata Party with the support of a majority of 33 People of the Arunachal Party and 45 of the BJP.

Later, he became the Union Minister of Home Affairs and Minority Affairs and Youth Affairs. He is also appointed as the minister of Laws and Defence.
• Ninong Ering: He became the MLA of Arunachal Pradesh during the 1990 elections. He stood in the 1999 elections with a congress ticket after losing the legislative election in 1995. He is appointed as a Minister of the state of Arunachal Pradesh. Also, he has also become the Deputy Speaker of the Arunachal Legislative Assembly.
• Mamang Dai: She is the most famous author, journalist, and poet who belongs to the state’s capital, Itanagar. She wrote many great novels and won the Sahitya Akademi Award for her famous novel-The Black Hill.
