Some important days that are celebrated in India are the Army day on 15th January , Republic day on 26th January , Independence day on 15th August and Constitution day on 26th November .

  • March 10 – CISF raising day – the day marked the establishment of CISF in the year 1969 by an act passed by parliament.
  • March 15 – World Consumer  Rights Day is a global event to raise awareness about consumer rights and needs.
  • March 16 – National Vaccination Day is celebrated to acknowledge the efforts of frontline workers to ensure vaccination for all.
  • March 22– It is celebrated as World water day to celebrate water and spread awareness about the importance of safe water.
  • March 23 – World meteorological day highlights the importance of the Atmosphere.

April

  • April 7 – World Health Day , the day marks the foundation of the World health organisation in the year1948.
  • April 22– World Earth Day – the day aims to raise awareness about the problems of the planet of overpopulation , loss of biodiversity and climate crisis.

May 

  • May 1– Celebrated as International labour day 
  • May 3 – International energy day by International energy agency 
  • May 31 – World No Tobacco day- raise awareness about consuming tobacco.

  • June 5 – World Environment day – it is celebrated to conserve  the environment .

July 

  • July 1 – Doctor’s day 
  • July 19 – World Population Day – it is celebrated to draw attention to problems related to reproductive health of the Women.

August

  • August 12 – International youth day

  • August 29 – Sports day – the day marks the birth anniversary of Major Dhyanchand who was the greatest hockey player in Indian history.
  • August 30 -National Small industry day is celebrated to Encourage small businesses across the country.

September 

  • September 8 – It is celebrated as International Literacy day .
  • September 16 – it is celebrated as World Ozone day . Ozone layer is present in the stratosphere and protects the planet from harmful UV rays from the Sun.
  • September 27 – World Tourism Day -it depicts the importance of tourism and the crucial role it plays.

October 

  • October 2 – Gandhi jayanti
  • October 8 – Indian Airforce day – celebrate the air force and its strength adding to National security.
  • October 20 – National Solidarity day 

November

  • November 9– Pravasi bhartiya divas.
  • November 17 – Guru Nanak birth anniversary.

December 

  • December 1-World AIDS day, it is celebrated to remind the government and its citizens that AIDS has not gone away .
  • December 4 – Navy Day – to celebrate the navy and its courage at the Karachi border in the war of 1971.
  • December 10 – Human Rights Day 
  • December 23– Kisan Diwas
