The Longest Chord of a Circle is Called its

Answer: The longest chord of a circle is called its diameter.

  • The circle is defined as the locus of points.

  • The circle’s chord is the line that joins the two different points of the circle. In other words, the circle’s chord is the line that joins different points on the circle’s circumference.

  • The diameter is the line that joins the circle’s two points of the circumference by passing through the midpoint. As it joins the two points of the circle’s circumference, it is called a chord. Along with this, it passes through the centre; due to this, it is called the longest chord of the circle.
