Find the L.C.M. of 24, 36 and 40

Answer: The Least Common Multiple of LCM in mathematics is defined as the smallest common multiple of any two or more than two numbers. The L.C.M. defines the minimum positive integer which is completely divisible by the factors considered.

L.C.M. of the three numbers 24, 36 and 40 is 360.

Solution: By applying prime factorization:

2x2x2x3 = 24

2x2x3x3 = 36

2x2x2x5 =40

Therefore required L.C.M. is 2x2xx2x3x5 = 360.

From the above solution, we are able to conclude that L.C.M. of 24,36, and 40 is 360.
