Why is democracy considered the best form of government?

Democracy is a type of government in which the head of the  state is chosen/elected by the citizens of that state. This form of government does not differentiate between the people based on their caste, religion, gender, or race. it is purely based on equality, the fundamental right, and the rights of the minorities so that they do not feel suppressed

Democracy in any country can be called the best form of government because of the following reasons:

• Firstly, the Head of the complete nation is elected by the citizens of that nation.
• This is a type of government that is said to be running by the people and for the people.
• It is said that democracy helps in the improvement of the standard of decision-making for the sake of its people. Its uses are based on discussion and consultations with the other executives.
• The democracy in any country also helps in the enhancement of the dignity of its people.
• It helps in figuring out a method through which the government can deal with the conflicts and differences that arise in the nation. This is mainly based on the different principles of political equality.
• Democracy is a form of government that is accountable for responding to the needs of its people.
• If any ruler does not work in the favor of the benefits of its people, then those people have the power to not elect him as their representative in the next election, which is held every 5 years in India.
• Also, democracy gives more freedom to its citizens compared with the other forms of government, one can openly speak up openly about his/her thoughts and opinions.
