Answer:– Any synthetic material that mimics silk but is less expensive to make is often referred to as artificial silk as well as art silk. The term “fake silk” is frequently merely another word for rayon. It is also known as bamboo silk when manufactured of bamboo viscose. Rayon is referred to as synthetic silk. It possesses characteristics akin to silk. Because it shares all the characteristics of silk, rayon fibre is frequently referred to as fake silk. Because it feels and looks like silk, synthetic silk is known as rayon. Wood pulp is used to create rayon fabrics in their initial stages.

In contrast to the actual silk that is produced by silkworms, which requires a great deal of skill, effort, and time taken to complete, artificial silk, or rayon, is manufactured in factories, processed all at once in bulk, and needs less manpower and knowledge. As a result, synthetic silk is less expensive than genuine silk.
