What are the functions of areolar tissues?

A set of cells along with some intermolecular substances perform some specific functions in a body. This set of cells is known as a tissue. A living body is made up of these tissues. Areolar Tissues are tissues that are largely distributed connective tissue found in an animal body. The Areolar Tissues are also found in the human body. The tissue carries divided fibroblasts, fibres, mast cells and macrophages. This tissue helps to fill the gap between muscle fibres and wraps around the blood and lymph vessels along with the tissue also upholds the organs present in the abdominal cavity. The tissue is found around blood vessels, nerves, mucous membrane and in the other parts of the body. If a problem is encountered in Areolar Tissue of the human body, then it can lead to lactation problems in the body which further in future appear as disease such as breast cancer. 

Functions of areolar tissues are as follows: – 

• The first function of Areolar Tissues would be that they provide a support system to the organs of the body
• The second function of Areolar Tissue is that it provides assistance in the repairing of muscles and skin
• Another function of Areolar Tissue is that it has the ability to act as a packaging tissue between the organs in order to fill the gaps inside the organs
• The tissue stays in the deep level of epidermis and has a very vital role in maintaining the skin’s elasticity and flexibility
• The tissue offers a soft cushioning layer to the organ and also protects it from my kind of friction
