Reeling of silk is (a) a process of making silk reels. (b) the spinning of silk fibers. (c) the weaving of silk cloth. (d) the process of taking silk threads from the cocoon.

Answer: (d)

In the silk reeling method, we reel together numerous cocoon baves to generate a thread. This is done by unwinding filaments derived from a collection of cooked cocoons. The thread received from these cocoons is winded using a fast-operating reel.

Silk reeling is categorized into direct and indirect reeling. The standard-size wheel is used in the direct reeling process. In indirect silk reeling, smaller reels are transferred onto standard wheels for re-reeling. This is a prevalent technique in the modern era.
