Define Photosynthesis

Answer: Photosynthesis is a method or a process by which floras or plants and many other organisms modify light energy into chemical energy.

For example, during photosynthesis in green plants, the energy of the light is captured as it is used to convert carbon dioxide, water and various minerals into the energy affluent organic substances and oxygen.

The process of photosynthesis is defined as the process entirely taking place in the chloroplasts with the help of photosynthetic pigments, including Chlorophyll a, xanthophyll and carotene and chlorophyll b.

All Flora or green plants and a few specific autotrophic organisms employ the method of photosynthesis to synthesise various nutrients by using sunlight, water, and carbon dioxide.
